Adding resources to your Cast/course

Duplicating an existing resource

  1. Go to Cast Editor from the Admin dashboard. Click on the pencil button that appears when hovering on your chosen block.

Then, click the ‘+’ sign to add a new resource.

If you intend to use the existing resource inside a course, click on any course in the Cast Editor.

Click on the Edit Course Content button in the Course Profile.

Click on the + Add Resource button in the section where you want to put the resource in.

  1. Select Duplicate existing resource.

Click on file_copy…

3. Use the search bar to look for a specific resource to duplicate.

Type "Assessment"
  1. Resources will be listed along with their UUID and the date and time they were created. This would help you differentiate the resources, especially those with the same name. Click the resource you want to duplicate.

Click on attachment…

You can also select a course to duplicate, if you intend to put the course in a separate catalog block in the Cast Editor. Please note that the course will retain its enrollments if copied to another block.

Rest assured, deleting the original copy of the course in its original catalog block will not delete it completely from the system. This simply means that you're essentially moving the course from one catalog block to another. 

Once you have duplicated your resource, you can now edit this as an independent resource. You can change its name without affecting the original copy.
