Listed in this article are the latest feature releases in the Cast LMS. For this month, these are the following key features:

  • The Mailer
  • Continue from your last resource
  • Save button on setting prerequisites
  • Creating a question item in between created question items
  • Graded checkbox for optional question items in assessment
  • Modify groups button on User Details
  • PDF copy of certificate attached in completion email


The Mailer

The Cast LMS now allows administrators to send emails to their Cast's registered users using the Mailer for various purposes such as announcements and reminders.

With the Mailer, you can do the following:

  1. Create email templates for sending
  2. Schedule an email to be sent to your users
  3. Filter the recipients of your email
  4. View the emails you have sent and scheduled through Mailer History
  5. View the detailed email report of your sent emails (with percentages of how many were opened, clicked, not seen, and bounced)

Continue from last resource

Users accessing their courses through the learner's portal can now go back easily to their last accessed resource with the Continue where you left off button on top of the course.

This will help learners to go straight to their last accessed resource and continue on with their course without scrolling down and looking for it in the course catalog.

Save button on setting prerequisites

A save button is now available when you set prerequisites. After selecting the prerequisite for your resource, click on the Save button to be taken back to the Course Content Editor.

Creating a question item in between other question items

You can now create a question item in between other question items. If you want to add a new question in between other questions in the assessment, simply click the + Add Question button in between the questions.

 


Graded checkbox for optional items in assessment

The Graded checkbox can be ticked if you want the question item to contribute to the total grade of the learner in the assessment. This can be used for optional question items in the assessment.

Modify Groups button on User Details

If a user is not in his or her correct group, you can now add or remove them from their assigned groups through the User Details.

PDF copy of certificate attached in completion email

For courses with automatic generation of certificates, the learners can now receive a pdf copy of their digital certificate along with the completion email.
